We are all animal lovers here, and I'm sure we all have experiences to share, words of wisdom and, though we'd rather they were never neccessary, words of consolation. We hope this will become a real community, with neighbors helping neighbors, people getting to Know each other, care for each other. If this is successful, we'll consider adding chat to FindFido, and we'd love to hear from you, what you'd like to see at this site devoted to dogs and the people that love them. |

Hi, I found a dog the last week in February. He was tied to the railing of a park in Fresh Meadows Queens. He seems to be a mixhusky, male, black and tan. He was found without a collar. He seems to have been well cared for. He's a very friendly dog who seems to be missing his owners very much. I have been searching for a purebred boxer for months now. There have to be people out there who, for one reason or another, aren't able to care for their boxer--and need to find a good, loving home for him/her. If this were their real concern... but it seems they need $200-$500 (and up) when they can't keep theirpet any longer and MUST find a home ASAP. Makes no sense to me. If they are with a rescue service or spca, etc, I could understand asking for money. But not this much for a PET they can't take care of anymore. | |||||

Hi - I am loved by two wonderful Great Dane sisters, Abbey and Sassy who will be 7 in March. I have had dogs all of my 45 years but since 1988 our family (and then me) has had a Dane. We have labs, German Shepherds, a bull mastiff, pit bulls, chihuahuas and several mixes in our extended family at this time. We have had a dalmatian, a toy poodle, a weimaraner, a neapolitan mastiff and a boerbel. I'm a volunteer with Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League (we have chapters from NY to SC). I am the adoptions contact for the MD/DC chapter. | |||||
