| Robbie is a cop in New Orleans. He's also a 6-year-old Dutch Shepherd
who doesn't like being without his handler. So when he found himself in
a kennel (his handler was on vacation), he decided to go on the lam.
According to a spokesperson for the New Orleans police, Robbie apparently pushed open a latch on his cage and found a window that opened from the inside - and gave it a push. A search for the futgitive was undertaken by members of the police Special Operations Division but it was a neighbor who found the dog just six blocks from the kennel. Now Robbie and his handler are back together. Since this happened once before, it is thought Robbie was heading home anyway - that's apparently what he did the last time, when he was left at the groomer's. Robbie is one smart K-9 cop who won't be separated from his partner. |
