|The ASPCA reported in its magazine "Animal Watch" that Land Rover North America has made a generous contribution to the Society on behalf of the thousands of people who praised the automobile maker for a recent ad. The TV commercial was part of a campaign that highlighted people for courageous acts.
In the ad that so many praised, a formally dressed couple en route to an opera stop their vehicle in the rain to pick up an abandoned and very wet dog. They then cancel their plans to go to the opera, a place where the dog obviously couldn't tag along.
Animal Watch reports that Land Rover has received 5-thousand email messages from consumers applauding the ad for its message of caring for animals. To show its appreciation for those messages and for the humane work done by the ASPCA, Land Rover was prompted to make a donation.
