| Honoring the War Dog |
| The US Postal Service is being asked to consider issuing a commemorative stamp honoring dogs that have served in the military during times of war.
The recently formed K-9 Corps Stamp Committee says that more than 40-thousand dogs fit this category, having served in WW2, Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm. A petition drive is underway, sponsored by The Vietnam Dog Handlers Association (VDHA), made up of over 1,200 Vietnam Veterans, the majority of whom served as dog handlers, veterinarian technicians and veterinarians. |
