| If you haven't seen it already, you probably will soon. A veterinary hospital that has all the latest technology and equipment, round-the-clock emergency service, and specialists in surgery, ophthalmogy, oncology - even dermatology and more.
These hospitals, rivaling ones for human health care, are being established around the country as more families seem willing to spend as much money on medical treatment of their pets as they would on family members. In fact, their pets are treated as family members. As the need for farm animals dwindles and more people live in urban areas, dogs are not "employed", for example, to herd cows, but are treated more and more as cherished companions. Several recent surveys support the notion that people are placing a higher priority on the bond they have with their pets, so it's a good thing that the level of care in veterinary medicine continues to increase. |
